Telluride, CO

Population: 2,325

In 1972, the first ski lift was installed in Telluride, transitioning Telluride away from mining as its only industry. In the 1980’s, it was often referred to as “Colorado’s best kept secret,” which ironically created an influx of tourism. And it’s easy to understand why as this small Colorado mountain town boasts some of the most amazing views in the country. We highly recommend checking out Bridal Veil Falls on the east side of Telluride, home of the highest free-falling falls in Colorado (365 feet!).
